key.safesquid.com is where you get and manage an activation key; this Support page is
where you see that key’s status on this appliance and use appliance tools tied to it (Cloud
Restore in particular reads from the cloud account behind your key).
License Details panel
The left panel shows the fields SafeSquid tracks for the current activation key:
Click Refresh to re-pull this panel from the licensing backend without waiting for the next
scheduled sync — use this right after uploading a new activation key or renewing on
key.safesquid.com.
This is the authoritative place to check subscription/license status in the Web UI. It is not
under Reports — no Reports tab covers it.
Support — operational tool cards
Operational tools
Ten cards, right of the License Details panel. Descriptions below are what each card states or does on open; where a card’s underlying behavior needs more than its stated purpose, that’s flagged rather than guessed.- Support Tarball — “Download or Generate.” Produces a support bundle for the vendor.
- Download Config — “Download Config Files.”
- Upload Config — “Upload Config Files.”
- Upgradation — “Upload New Version.” Applies a new SafeSquid build.
- Performance Plot — “Application performance.”
- URL Commands — “Test the Functionalities.” Opens a URL command executor: pick a
diagnostic mode and a website, then run it through the proxy without changing policy. The
available modes (verified live, exact list):
xx--fresh,xx--raw,xx--cookies,xx--mime,xx--headers,xx--score,xx--diff,xx--htmltree,xx--process,xx--offline,xx--cache,xx--profiles,xx--https,xx--prefetch,xx--template,xx--proxytest,xx--bypass,xx--password,xx--imgscore,xx--limits,xx--variables. - Restart SafeSquid — “Restart SafeSquid service.” The action referenced by Handle expiry’s “restart SafeSquid from the interface after either action” step.
- Cloud Restore — “Restore Configuration.” Confirmed live: the dialog states “You can get configuration file and SSL certificate shared with activation key,” with a Restore button. This is the on-appliance side of the Self-Service Portal’s backup/restore workflow — it pulls from the cloud account tied to your activation key, it does not issue a new key.
- Startup params — “Edit SafeSquid params.” Web UI editor for the same tunables covered in startup.ini tunables — confirm before assuming this writes the same file directly.
- Live Support — “Chat with support.” Vendor support chat.
How to verify
- Support page loads with the License Details panel populated (not blank/
YET_TO_DEFINEon every field) for an activated appliance. - After uploading a new activation key on Subscription, click Refresh here and confirm Last Updated Time advances.
